JAGA needs a new maintainer
Very unfortunately the initial JAGA developers do not have the resources to further develop and maintain the system. We are therefore looking for someone who would be interested to co-maintain or to take over the project!
We are still happy to reply to any support requests and to provide whatever help we can for all JAGA-related issues, but we simply do not have the time to actively develop JAGA.
JAGA's core is a well engineered system and is easily extended for any kind of GA and GP experiments. However, as the science of evolutionary computation advances, new techniques become available, and previously new techniques become standards. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to keep JAGA up to date with these developments.
We hope that some other research group or person who has used JAGA in the past will volunteer to take charge of the project. Of course, we will happily support the new maintainers in their role, if they wish so. A new maintainer may either entirely take over the project or become a co-maintainer and help us making JAGA better and keeping it up to date.
